A well-established plaintiff's law firm in New York City is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on personal injury cases. Location:

Duties:

• Represent clients in personal injury and related matters, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall cases, wage-and-hour claims, police misconduct, and contract breaches
• Manage a caseload from inception through trial
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents
• Prepare and present cases for trial, handling depositions, pre-trial motions, court appearances, and appeals
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring effective communication throughout the case lifecycle
• Collaborate with paralegals, support staff, and expert witnesses to build and present strong cases
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
• Monitor and manage case timelines, ensuring deadlines are met

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York State Bar (federal court admission a plus)
• At least 5 years of litigation experience in New York (plaintiff-side personal injury experience is highly preferred)
• Strong knowledge of personal injury law, including relevant statutes, regulations, and court procedures
• Proven experience handling cases from start to finish, including trial preparation
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation and settlement skills
• Ability to manage a high caseload with attention to detail and deadlines
• Track record of achieving favorable outcomes for clients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (federal court admission a plus)
