Overview
Kaplan Kirsch & Rockwell is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join their Airport Projects and Commercial Transactions team. The successful candidate will have 7+ years of relevant transactional or regulatory experience, exceptional writing, legal drafting, and analytical skills, and an ability to professionally interact with clients and colleagues.


Responsibilities
The Senior Associate Attorney will be responsible for:

Serving as a key member of the nationwide Airports practice, while also supporting the Public-Private Partnerships and Alternative Project Delivery practice.
Working directly with clients and partners on negotiating and drafting agreements supporting a wide variety of complex airport commercial transactions, including airline use and lease agreements, the construction and operation of consolidated rental car facilities, aviation fueling facilities, and other aeronautical and nonaeronautical real estate development.
Advising clients nationwide on federal regulatory requirements regarding airport development, airport finance, construction, procurement, and environmental matters.
Having opportunities for periodic travel to attend client meetings and industry conferences.

Requirements
To excel in the role of Senior Associate Attorney, the successful candidate must have:

7 or more years of relevant transactional or regulatory experience.
Exceptional writing, legal drafting, analytical, negotiating, and advocacy skills, and an ability to professionally interact with clients and colleagues.
An ability to think through complex legal and business issues and work collaboratively to advise clients on creative means of achieving their objectives.
A high comfort level in working both independently and in a team environment.
An academic excellence and leadership, having achieved a law degree from an accredited law school.
An admission to practice in a . jurisdiction (CO, NY, DC, or CA, preferred).

Additional Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Senior Associate Attorney role will have experience with:

The federal regulatory framework in which airports operate.
Other transportation regulations and/or federal transportation agencies (., . DOT, FAA, FRA, FTA, FHWA, STB and Build America Bureau).
Drafting bespoke agreements and other documents supporting innovative commercial transactions with multiple parties and complex financing arrangements.
Airport operations, airport law, and/or other aspects of aviation.
A demonstrated interest (professional or personal) in public infrastructure, aviation, transportation, public policy, and/or related matters.

Position Details
This is a full-time position to be located in Denver, CO, San Francisco, CA, New York, NY, or Washington DC. The salary range is $185,000 - $225,000 commensurate with experience. We offer medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, STD, LTD, group term life insurance, 401(k), flexible PTO, and parental leave. The Firm will also cover some public transportation costs.
