Location: Hybrid (Virtual and In-Office)

Salary Range: - per hour

Elevance Health, a Fortune 25 healthcare company, is seeking a Legal Specialist Sr. to join our team. In this role, you will lead support staff and provide legal support services for multiple Medicaid states, enterprise-wide functions, and/or complex litigation. This is a full-time position with a hybrid workplace model, allowing for remote work and 1-2 days in the office per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coach other support staff

Prepare and evaluate legal documentation to resolve problems and maintain good corporate governance

Conduct legal research and analysis and recommend appropriate course of action

Respond to subpoenas, records requests, and inquiries from internal and external sources

Investigate and resolve complex cases

Monitor state and federal legislation and make recommendations for changes

Attend legal proceedings and represent the company

Apply business knowledge and technical expertise to improve practices

Participate in projects and negotiations

Enter information into databases or document management systems

Handle Provider Contracting for Medicaid markets

Minimum Requirements:

Paralegal Certification or AA/AS/BA/BS in a related field

10 years of legal or related experience

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

Experience in Medicaid or other government programs

Good organizational skills and attention to detail

Skilled in Excel

Salary Information:

For candidates working in person or remotely in the following locations, the salary range is to per hour:

California

Colorado

Hawaii

Nevada

New York

Washington State

Jersey City, NJ
