The candidate will be assisting clients with the completion of applications for the immigration process. Clients include employers and/or individuals seeking visas or permanent resident status. Will maintain assigned cases by gathering information from clients, preparing petitions, and maintaining immigration files. Will also prepare document packages for submission to the . Citizenship and Immigration Service. Must have an interest in immigration and stay current on immigration issues. Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal studies preferred. Prior experience working as a paralegal. Some knowledge of the immigration process is helpful. Advanced computer skills; excellent interpersonal skills are needed for telephone and direct communication with clients. High standards of excellence, strong attention to detail required, solid organization skills, enthusiasm, and prioritization skills are a must. Professional appearance; ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment; ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must be able to adapt easily to change. No JDs, LLBs, LLMs, or current/matriculating law students, please. Working via telecommuting/work-from-home is not available for this position. Should have the ability to speak a second language is helpful.
