Overview:
- Join dynamic litigation team at growing Chicago office of AmLaw 68 firm
- Ideal candidate has strong complex commercial litigation experience in large law firm setting
- Represent clients in pharmaceutical, healthcare, and consumer products industries in state and federal courts
- Manage all aspects of complex commercial litigation through trial
- Draft pleadings and discovery requests, take and defend depositions, conduct legal research, and write persuasive motions
- Collaborate with colleagues and experts to achieve best possible outcome for clients
- Manage caseload, deadlines, and priorities with driven and motivated work ethic

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of complex commercial litigation through trial
- Draft pleadings and discovery requests, take and defend depositions
- Conduct legal research and write persuasive motions, argue them confidently before courts
- Manage document production and handle all phases of discovery
- Develop and implement winning litigation strategies through outstanding written and oral advocacy skills
- Attend mediation, prepare mediation briefs, and negotiate favorable resolutions
- Collaborate with colleagues and experts to achieve the best possible outcome for clients
- Manage caseload, deadlines, and priorities with a driven and motivated work ethic

Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in complex commercial and civil litigation
- Proven track record of success in state and federal courts
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong deposition skills and exceptional oral and written advocacy skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit and strong communication skills
- Excellent academic credentials
- Admitted and in good standing with the Illinois Bar
- Portable book of business is a plus, but not required
