Responsibilities

• Provide direct legal representation to low-income individuals and families in Newark, primarily in housing matters;

• Collaborate with partner organizations and community groups to identify systemic issues affecting low-income residents of Newark and develop appropriate strategies to address those issues;

• Conduct research and draft legal memoranda to inform systemic reform advocacy;

• Participate in community education and outreach activities, including know-your-rights presentations and trainings;

• Engage in public speaking and media outreach to raise awareness of issues impacting the Newark community;

• Assist with pro bono trainings and mentorship of Firm associates; and

• Complete other duties as assigned by the Pro Bono Partner and Newark Office Managing Partner.
