Job Title: Associate Federal Employment Law Attorney
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in complex federal employment-related litigation matters

Responsibilities/Duties:

-Develop written case assessments and provide recommendations for litigation or settlement
-Gather evidence and prepare witnesses for hearings
-Develop defense strategies and respond to discovery motions
-Prepare all materials and witnesses for hearings
-Make opening and closing statements, examine and cross-examine witnesses, and present evidence
-Prepare and submit post-trial legal briefs and research
-Prepare for appeals and recommend alternatives
-Ensure compliance with legal requirements

Requirements:

-Minimum of 2 years of experience in complex federal employment-related litigation matters
-Previous experience with the EEOC, preferably as a former EEOC attorney
-Active . bar license in good standing
-Ability to maintain necessary security clearance
-Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
-Flexible scheduling and ability to commit to 35-40 hours per week

The Gilchrist Law Firm, a leading legal agency, is currently seeking an experienced Associate Federal Employment Law Attorney to join their team. This is a fully remote position, providing an opportunity to work with the Office of General Counsel (OGC) within the . Department of Agriculture (USDA). As an Associate Employment Law Attorney, you will be responsible for providing litigation services for all USDA and USDA agencies in employment-related matters.

Responsibilities:

-Develop written case assessments and provide recommendations for litigation or settlement, in collaboration with OGC
-Gather evidence and prepare witnesses for hearings
-Develop defense strategies and respond to discovery motions
-Prepare all materials and witnesses for hearings, including opening and closing statements and examination of witnesses
-Present evidence and defend against objections
-Prepare and submit post-trial legal briefs, research, and composition
-Prepare for appeals and recommend alternatives
-Ensure compliance with all relevant legal requirements, including EEOC Initial Orders, MSPB Acknowledgement Orders, and USDA regulations

Requirements:

-Minimum of 2 years of experience in complex federal employment-related litigation matters
-Previous superior experience with the EEOC, preferably as a former EEOC attorney
-Active . bar license in good standing in any jurisdiction
-Ability to maintain necessary security clearance
-Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
