## Administrative Assistant - Law Office (Walnut Creek)

Absolute Trust Counsel is a small, established law firm in Walnut Creek focusing on estate planning, estate and trust administration, probate, Medi-Cal planning and special needs planning. We are seeking a full-time assistant to provide a high level of administrative support to our clients, affiliates and our team. This position will play an important role in our growth strategy by providing exceptional customer service, a strong eye for detail, and a passion for meeting expectations. Our first priority is our clients’ well-being, and we take great pride in making our planning processes pleasant, convenient and efficient.

The Law Office of Absolute Trust Counsel is looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join their team. The right candidate will have a desire to learn, implement effective systems and an interest in helping families through estate planning, trust administration, and probate law.

### Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant will have a variety of duties and responsibilities, including:

* Answering and managing incoming phone calls
* Greeting and interacting with clients and other visitors
* Preparing, editing, and sending basic correspondence
* Filing and retrieving documents
* Managing and maintaining a complicated calendar for two attorneys
* Arranging and confirming appointments
* Managing day-to-day office needs
* Assembling and scanning client documents
* Managing and maintaining client and affiliate databases accurately and efficiently

### Requirements

The ideal candidate for the Administrative Assistant position will have:

* Exceptional customer service skills
* A warm, kind, friendly, and easy-going demeanor
* The ability to prioritize and stay organized
* A positive attitude and self-awareness
* The ability to recognize, admit mistakes, and learn from them
* A strong eye for detail and problem-solving skills

* Reliability and punctuality
* Excellent proofreading, written, and oral communication skills
* Experience in a fast-paced work environment
* The ability to multi-task and deal with interruptions

* Knowledge of relevant software, including MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
* Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures

### Compensation

This is a full-time, in-office position, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Starting compensation is $25-$28/hour with increases based upon performance.
