Duties:

  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, orders, discovery requests, and memoranda.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies.
  • Prepare and respond to written discovery.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Review client documents, draft case evaluations, and provide status report correspondence.
  • Participate in mediations, pretrial settlement conferences, and court appearances.
  • Interact directly with clients, insurance claim professionals, opposing counsel, and colleagues.
  • Manage and prioritize a substantive caseload.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Indiana.
  • Proficient in Lexis and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate state and federal court hearings with professionalism.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the Indiana State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Active Indiana law license required.
