# Cybersecurity & Privacy Associate - Summer 2024
## Job Description
The threat actors have shifted from simple, nuisance based Cyber hacks to criminals, activists, ransom hacks and nation states. Companies are aggressively looking for consultants to help them protect their critical assets and proactively prepare and respond to Cyber breaches.

Grant Thornton’s Cybersecurity & Privacy practice offers an opportunity for individuals to leverage their technology background and experience to broaden their business and project management skills in a rewarding and challenging environment. Associates will work on projects across the Cybersecurity & Privacy portfolio and will assist in the development of Cyber risk strategies, identity and access management programs, network security, Cyber security analytics, ethical hacking, cloud security, privacy & data protection, artificial intelligence, etc.

## Qualifications & Skills
In order to be successful in this role, candidates should have the following qualifications and skills:
- . in Engineering within Computer, Computer Science, Information Systems
- . in Computer Science
- . program in Data analytics, Informatics, Management with Cybersecurity (minor)
- . program with a specialization in Technology – “Hands on technology experience”
- Strong business and technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Likes to learn the business of our clients to help them solve problems
- Ability to bridge the gap between business strategy and Cybersecurity/technology to help deliver sustainable solutions to our clients
- Excellent thinking, analytical, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management skills for handling multiple priorities and simultaneous projects
- Enthusiasm to learn through a combination of structured, on-the-job, and self-directed training
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment
- . in Cybersecurity or Information Security
- Optional – Juris Doctorate (.) degree with interest in Cybersecurity and Data Privacy
- Minimum major and overall GPA of preferred
- Ability to travel as required

## Salary
The base salary for this position in the firm’s Manhattan, New York office is $85,000 per year.

Grant Thornton offers a wide range of benefits to its employees. Interns and seasonal employees are eligible to participate in the firm’s medical, dental and vision insurance programs and the firm’s employee assistance program. They also receive a minimum of 72 hours of paid sick leave, and are paid for firm holidays that fall within their internship period.

Seasonal employees may also be eligible to participate in the firm’s 401(k) savings plan and employee retirement plan in accordance with applicable plan terms and eligibility requirements.

Grant Thornton employees may be eligible for a discretionary, annual bonus based on individual and firm performance, subject to the terms, conditions and eligibility criteria of the applicable bonus plan or program. Interns and seasonal employees are not eligible for bonus compensation.
