Corporate Paralegal - Legal Support for PrimeSource - Irving, TX - $ Competitive salary - Full-time, regular employment - Bachelor's degree or equivalent required - 4+ years of corporate paralegal experience at a law firm or corporation - Previous in-house experience preferred - Familiarity with domestic entity compliance and filing of annual reports - IP experience, particularly with trademarks, preferred - Strong research and analytical skills - Experience drafting and negotiating contracts a plus - Knowledge of MS Office, contract management, and e-billing solutions - Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution beneficial - Hybrid schedule with some work-from-home flexibility - No travel required Essential Functions: - Provide critical legal support for PrimeSource, reporting to the Associate General Counsel - Work closely with the Chief Legal Officer and other departments on various projects and initiatives - Maintain list of Officers and Directors and file annual reports with Tax Department - Draft written consents and monitor compliance for domestic and foreign entities - Liaise with departments to resolve regulatory and compliance matters - Conduct legal research on transactional, IP, and regulatory requests - Assist Real Estate team with revisions to Lease Agreements - Protect and maintain trademarks and patents, and manage other IP issues - Coordinate with outside counsel on intellectual property and other legal matters - Correspond with internal clients on trademark inquiries and advise on proper use of trademarks - Draft and revise commercial contracts - Contribute to pre-litigation dispute resolution - Identify and pursue opportunities for process improvements - Draft legal correspondence and maintain Legal Department file organization - Assist with filing and resolving insurance claims Competencies: - Excellent organizational skills - Ability to collaborate effectively with business partners - Proactive self-starter with high attention to detail - Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability - Excellent communication skills Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university - 4+ years of corporate paralegal experience at a law firm or corporation - Familiarity with domestic entity compliance and filing of annual reports - IP experience, particularly with trademarks, preferred - Strong research and analytical skills - Experience drafting and negotiating contracts a plus - Knowledge of MS Office, contract management, and e-billing solutions - Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution beneficial Schedule: - Hybrid schedule with work-from-home on Mondays and Fridays - In-office at PrimeSource's Irving headquarters on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (with some flexibility) - Respectful of work-life balance, with flexibility for personal needs such as school drop-offs or pick-ups Blueprint/Organizational Competencies: - Care – Leads with care and invests in the success and well-being of co-workers, customers, and the business. - Winning Together – Builds collaborative and positive relationships to achieve success in the marketplace. - Working Hard – Reliably and consistently committed to the work at hand, showing up on time, meeting deadlines, and putting in the necessary effort to get the job done. - Working Smart – Uses time and resources efficiently and seeks ways to improve processes. - Working Fast – Adapts quickly to change and efficiently moves forward to deliver results.
