A growing law firm is seeking a driven and talented Insurance Defense Attorney to join its expanding team. The firm represents insurers and their policyholders in complex matters, including first- and third-party claims, coverage disputes, and personal injury protection (PIP) litigation. Location:
Duties:
- Represent insurers and policyholders in first-party and third-party insurance defense litigation, including PIP, bodily injury, and property damage claims.
- Analyze complex legal and factual issues and develop effective litigation strategies.
- Manage discovery efforts, including drafting discovery responses, taking and defending depositions, and preparing expert witnesses.
- Draft motions, briefs, and other court filings.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of attorneys and support staff to deliver exceptional client service.
- Participate in settlement negotiations and advocate for clients in court when necessary.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, with a preference for candidates with PIP experience.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience in depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Ability to think critically, solve problems, and drive results.
- Strong academic credentials.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Admission to the State Bar in good standing.
Skills:
