Our Chicago office, with over 50 attorneys, is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Energy Associate Attorney to join our Energy, Infrastructure and Project Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the largest and most innovative energy industry players, including leading utilities, pipeline operators, municipalities, independent power producers, commercial banks, equity and tax investors, EPC contractors, and energy technology companies. As an Energy Associate Attorney, you will have substantive responsibility and client contact, working on a variety of transactions related to the development, acquisition, and financing of renewable energy projects. This is a chance to represent clients in a growing industry and make a significant impact in their legal matters. Key Responsibilities: - Represent clients in commercial lending, debt or equity project financing, leasing, tax credits, and due diligence for complex transactions. - Work on project development, construction, and operations contracts. - Provide assistance and advice to clients on their most important energy-related legal matters. Requirements: - 6-8 years of experience in the renewable energy industry at a large law firm with a national reputation or comparable in-house counsel role. - Admitted to the state bar of the state in which you reside. - Strong academic credentials from a top-tier law school. We prefer candidates in the Chicago area, but we will also consider strong candidates for our Dallas or Houston offices.
