Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and argue motions, take depositions, and handle complex discovery and ESI
- Conduct legal research and draft briefs and motions
- Assist with preparing cases for trial, including evidentiary hearings and/or trial experience
- Utilize real estate experience, if available, to support litigation cases
- Possess strong academic background and exceptional research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Be licensed to practice in Texas and familiar with the Texas court system
- Consider out of state candidates who are willing to sit for the Texas bar exam or eligible for admission in Texas

Qualifications:
- Minimum of four years of general commercial litigation experience
- Experience in preparing and arguing motions, taking depositions, and handling complex discovery and ESI
- Preferably some evidentiary hearing and/or trial experience
- Familiarity with researching and drafting briefs and motions
- Real estate experience preferred, but not required
- Strong academic background with excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills

Dinsmore & Shohl, a prominent national law firm with over 750 attorneys in 31 cities, is currently seeking an experienced litigation associate to join their team in the Houston, Texas office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of general commercial litigation experience, including experience in preparing and arguing motions, taking depositions, handling complex discovery and ESI, and preparing cases for trial. Real estate experience is preferred, but not required.

Strong Academic Background and Excellent Skills Required

The successful candidate for this position will have a strong academic background and possess excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills. They must also be well-versed in researching and drafting briefs and motions. A license to practice in Texas and familiarity with the Texas court system is required. Out of state candidates who are either willing to sit for the Texas bar exam or eligible for admission in Texas will also be considered.
