Counsel, Advisory Recruiting & Retention - CBRE

Job Summary:

CBRE is seeking a Counsel to join their Legal team in their Global Advisory business. This role will focus on complex employment contracting and M&A transactions, providing legal counsel and guidance on recruiting and retention issues. The ideal candidate will have a . and at least 6 years of relevant experience, with strong drafting and negotiation skills.

Job Responsibilities:

- Structure, draft, and negotiate complex employment agreements with commissioned employees
- Provide legal counsel and guidance on employment issues related to recruiting and retention
- Advise on the structure and enforceability of restrictive covenants and protection of trade secrets and proprietary information
- Conduct training on compensation, restrictive covenants, and other employment issues
- Monitor changes in laws impacting employee compensation and related employment issues
- Respond promptly to business needs while delivering high-quality legal services
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Minimum of 6 years of relevant private practice and/or in-house experience
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements and compensation formulas
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize requests in a timely manner
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and drafting skills
- No ERISA or employee benefits experience required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship
