Job Title: Privacy & Data Protection Counsel

Summary:

FIS, a Fortune 500 company in the financial services and information technology industry, is seeking an experienced Privacy & Data Protection Counsel to join their collaborative, business-oriented legal team. Experience and Responsibilities:

- Minimum 3+ years of experience in practicing law in a high-quality law firm or in-house environment
- Strong understanding of global privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection laws
- Ability to provide legal advice and support to business units on complex legal questions
- Experience in negotiating and drafting contracts, dispute resolution documentation, and other legal communications
- Comfortable with technology and use of technology tools in daily work responsibilities

- Educate and train FIS personnel on privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection
- Monitor changes in global privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection laws and work with business leaders to address developments
- Assist in implementing and updating privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection procedures and guidelines
- Manage personal data breaches and ensure timely and correct handling of data subject requests
- Assist in monitoring compliance with applicable laws and company policies
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection compliance
- Support deal attorneys in drafting and negotiating privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection related agreements

Education and Qualifications:

- Minimum of Bachelor of Law degree, required
- Any of the following qualifications preferred: CIPT, CIPM, CIPP/A, CIPP/E, and/or CIPP/US
- Experience or expertise in payments services or data processing industry preferred
- Binding Corporate Rules experience a plus

Salary Information:

- Pay range for this full-time position is $99, - $167,
- Actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education/training
- Potential for pay changes based on work location
