Job Overview:

A Fort Lauderdale, FL law firm is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pre-Suit Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing personal injury cases, exceptional legal research and writing skills, and a proven track record in negotiating and settling cases. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their injuries, dealing with insurance companies and opposing counsel, and representing clients in court.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, including auto accidents, slip and falls, premises liability claims, and wrongful death cases.
  • Work closely with clients to assess and understand the extent of their injuries and legal needs.
  • Draft demand packages and negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
  • Network with medical experts and other professionals to gather necessary information and assist with report drafting and deposition preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and write legal documents to support case strategies.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to handle new client calls and intake.
  • Attend statements and Examinations Under Oath (EUOs) as necessary.
  • Review cases and provide client recommendations based on legal analysis and case developments.

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
  • Minimum of 1+ year of experience in pre-suit personal injury litigation on the plaintiff side.
  • Proven experience drafting demand packages, negotiating settlements, and managing personal injury cases from intake through resolution.
  • Strong skills in legal research, writing, and case analysis.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Experience in screening prospective clients and providing case recommendations.
  • Ability to work effectively with medical and other experts.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Florida State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
