We are Hawkins, a leading law firm based in New York, seeking a highly skilled and motivated associate to join our public contracts and infrastructure group. Our team works nationally, representing public agencies and financial institutions in implementing infrastructure projects through alternative delivery and public-private partnerships. We specialize in the water, wastewater, solid waste, social infrastructure, transportation, and power sectors.

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel to public sector clients on complex procurement and contract matters for large-scale infrastructure projects
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and memoranda
- Participate in negotiations and provide guidance on risk management and compliance issues
- Collaborate with other departments and attorneys within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services to clients
- Stay updated on industry developments and regulations related to public contracts and infrastructure projects

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- 3-5 years of experience in corporate transactional, procurement, or government contracts law
- Strong understanding of public contracts and infrastructure projects, including relevant laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and project site visits

Compensation:
- Anticipated base compensation range: $185,000 to $205,000 per year
- Actual compensation will depend on relevant experience, job-related skills, and qualifications
