Philadelphia office of our client seeks an associate attorney ideally with 2-4 years of experience handling all aspects of cases in immigration court. The candidate will independently handle a heavy caseload before the Philadelphia and Newark Immigration Courts. Represent clients before the immigration courts, USCIS, CBP, the BIA, the US Department of State, and federal courts. Prepare and draft applications/petitions for immigration benefits. Advise clients on possible avenues of relief. Develop factual backgrounds and legal arguments to support claims for asylum. Research case law, regulations & statutes to help defend clients and assert their rights. Represent clients in family-based applications, consular processing, and other cases. Perform legal research and writing in support of various applications and petitions for benefits and claims for relief. Handle consultations with potential clients. Must be a member of any State Bar Association. Fluency in Spanish is required.
