A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated commercial litigation associate to join its Las Vegas, Nevada office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with at least 2 years of experience to work on a broad spectrum of complex legal matters involving a diverse range of clients. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, handling high-profile cases while developing expertise in various areas of civil litigation.

Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters, including but not limited to professional liability, employment defense, product liability, legal malpractice, financial services litigation, and construction-related disputes.
• Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and strategic thought.
• Handle client communications, providing timely updates and sound legal counsel.
• Lead case strategy development, collaborating with senior attorneys to ensure efficient case progress.
• Represent clients in settlement negotiations, depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
• Take ownership of significant legal matters while working within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Mentor and support junior associates and contribute to the firm’s learning and development initiatives.
• Stay abreast of developments in relevant legal areas to maintain a competitive edge in the practice of commercial litigation.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, with a focus on areas such as professional liability, employment defense, product liability, financial services, or construction law.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
• Exceptional research and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage a busy caseload and take initiative on cases of varying complexity.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in Nevada.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Nevada State Bar.

Skills:

• Expertise in managing commercial litigation cases from initiation to resolution.
• Strong legal research, writing, and document drafting skills.
