A law firm in New York City is seeking a General Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience to join its dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigating a diverse range of cases, including debt collection, directors and officers disputes, securities litigation, arbitration and regulation, sexual abuse, molestation, and human trafficking cases, insurance coverage disputes, class actions, mass torts, and more.

Job Details

Duties

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Assist in trial preparation and provide trial assistance.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of litigation experience.
• Admission to the New York Bar.
• Strong academic background and excellent writing skills.
• Experience in debt collection, directors and officers disputes, securities litigation, arbitration and regulation, sexual abuse, molestation, human trafficking cases, insurance coverage disputes, class actions, mass torts, federal court admissions, and appellate work is a plus.
• Willingness and ability to travel is a plus.
• Experience with both state and federal courts preferred.

Education and Certifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
