Senior Counsel, Claim Liability - Remote Position in New York City

- Full-time, hybrid remote job opportunity with Travelers Insurance
- Annual base salary range of $124,800 to $205,900
- Performance-based cash incentive awards and comprehensive benefits package
- Responsible for handling a caseload of complex litigation matters
- Provide leadership through mentoring and training of other attorneys and legal support staff
- Specialize in one or more areas of practice
- Demonstrate strong legal research, writing, and trial skills
- Build and maintain client relationships with a focus on customer service
- Travel as required for business needs
- Must have a Juris Doctorate and at least 7 years of litigation experience
- Active license to practice law in the state of New York
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace

Responsibilities:

- Litigate cases to verdict, utilizing strong trial skills
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Provide in-depth analysis and quality reporting to clients and partners
- Utilize available technology and case management systems
- Adhere to best practices in file handling
- Mentor and train other attorneys and legal support staff
- Travel as needed for business needs
- Initiate special projects and support office goals

Requirements:

- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Minimum of 7 years of litigation experience
- Active license in good standing to practice law in New York
- Valid driver's license (depending on location)
