Law Firm is seeking an associate to join their venture capital and emerging company practice. The ideal candidate will have three to six years of experience in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including venture capital transactions. Candidates must have strong self-starting skills and be able to work as part of a team on complex transactions. Although the Connecticut offices are preferred, Law Firm is flexible about location and will consider applicants who prefer to work remotely.

##Job Summary
Law Firm is looking for an experienced Associate to join their Venture Capital and Emerging Company Practice. The ideal candidate will have three to six years of experience in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including venture capital transactions. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team on complex transactions.

##Responsibilities
-Lead transactions and interact directly with CEOs, boards of directors and venture capitalists in the fields of technology and life sciences
-Assist with venture capital financings
-Handle a broad range of corporate and transactional matters
-Work independently and as part of a team on complex transactions
-Work with startups and venture capitalists

##Qualifications
-Juris Doctor degree
-3-6 years of experience in corporate and transactional matters
-Experience with venture capital transactions
-Excellent communication and negotiation skills
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Flexible location (preferred Connecticut but open to remote work)

##Salary
Salary for this role is commensurate with experience.
