# Tax Associate – Law Firm

Law Firm is seeking an experienced attorney with at least 2-3 years of federal, state, and local tax experience. The ideal candidate must have excellent client relationship and communication skills, the ability to work independently, a team-oriented mentality, and strong law school credentials and references.

## Responsibilities

As a Tax Associate at Law Firm, you will:
• Research and analyze complex federal tax matters
• Assist in structuring mergers and acquisitions and related tax work on such transactions
• Work with tax exempt organizations advising them on corporate governance matters and federal tax issues
• Assist on tax controversy matters, including state and local tax audits, appeals, and litigation
• Collaborate with partners and associates across practice groups and across offices
• Interact independently with clients
• Supervise and review more junior attorneys’ work

## Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have:
• Prior firm experience working on complex tax matters
• The ability to excel in a team environment
• The ability to demonstrate a keen interest in developing and implementing relationship-building skills both internally and externally
• Prior experiences that prepare them to work with attorneys, staff and clients from cultures and backgrounds different from their own
• High motivation and self-starting skills
• Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Excellent law school credentials and references
