Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a dynamic and motivated litigation associate with 2-5 years of experience to join its product litigation and regulatory practice. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the litigation process, highly skilled in legal writing, and able to manage a caseload independently. A proactive attitude and the ability to assist in trial preparation and execution are essential. The firm is known for its comprehensive approach to litigation, representing various clients such as manufacturers, municipalities, airlines, and retailers.

Duties:

  • Conducting depositions, arguing motions, and attending court hearings and mediations as necessary.
  • Drafting legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, interrogatories, and other litigation correspondence.
  • Performing in-depth legal research and analysis, including drafting memoranda on key findings.
  • Preparing detailed status reports and recommendations for clients.
  • Reviewing document collections in preparation for ongoing litigation matters.
  • Managing all aspects of litigation, from initial filings to trial.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of litigation experience, ideally within the areas of aviation, product liability, or regulatory matters.
  • Experience in discovery processes and law and motion procedures.
  • Familiarity with both state and federal court systems.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic background with an emphasis on litigation and related coursework.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain licensure).

Skills:

  • Superior writing and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with clients and colleagues.
