Summary:

- Job Title: Team Manager for Farmworker Team at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, Inc.

- Founded in 1970 to represent Texas farmworkers, TRLA is now the second-largest legal aid provider in the nation and the largest in Texas.
- TRLA provides free civil legal services to residents in 68 Southwest Texas counties and represents migrant and seasonal farm workers throughout the state and in six other southern states.
- The Farmworker Team Manager will oversee TRLA's Farmworker Practice Area, which focuses on employment litigation in federal court.
- The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience with laws and legal processes impacting farmworkers, such as the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
- The Farmworker Team Manager will also supervise outreach to migrant farmworkers, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with low-wage workers.
- This position also involves managing administrative processes, including compliance with funding regulations and implementing TRLA policies and procedures.
