Job Overview: A law firm specializing in immigration law seeks an experienced Immigration Associate Attorney to join their team in Miami Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of immigration matters, focusing on family and humanitarian-based petitions, asylum and removal defense, and immigration issues.
Duties:
- Maintain and update case files and correspondences.
- Coordinate case and legal strategies with team members.
- Prepare and manage various case filings and deadlines.
- Review, edit, and prepare briefs, cover letters, and case filings to USCIS.
- Conduct research on unique legal issues by identifying applicable statutes, judicial decisions, and agency rulings.
- Monitor legislative changes affecting immigration law.
- Develop solutions to complex legal questions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- JD degree or . from an accredited law school.
- Active Bar license in good standing in the USA.
- 2-5 years of experience in general immigration law, with specific expertise in family and humanitarian-based petitions.
- 2-5 years of experience in asylum and removal defense.
- 2-5 years of experience in immigration.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Flexibility and adaptability regarding work schedule.
- Excellent communication, reading, and writing skills in English and Spanish.
- Exceptional computer skills, including learning new software applications quickly.
Education and Certifications:
- JD degree or . from an accredited law school.
