Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Paralegal
Full-time Position with Competitive Salary and Benefits

Law Firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of relevant work experience and a high school diploma or GED. A Bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate are preferred. This position offers a salary range of $40,000-$50,000 per year, depending on experience and education, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

- Investigate and research facts to assist assigned attorney
- Manage cases accurately and communicate with clients and attorneys in a timely manner
- Obtain, review, and organize medical records
- Conduct insurance coverage investigations
- Prepare damage summaries, including medical expenses and lost wages
- Log daily mail and forward medical records to insurance carriers
- Draft correspondence for case management
- Assist with subrogation lien resolution and balance verifications
- Prepare check requests, maintain records, and mail checks
- Assist attorney with settlement documentation and disbursements
- Prepare disbursement summaries and file for litigation transfer when necessary
- Consistently communicate with clients regarding case status
- Provide support for team members in their absence
- Meet or exceed goals set by the firm
- Attend regular team meetings

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED required
- Two years of relevant work experience required
- Bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate preferred
- Highly proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Knowledge of legal practices, procedures, and business practices
- Familiarity with standard clerical and office administration procedures
- Excellent command of English grammar, usage, punctuation, and spelling
- Strong computer skills and ability to use related software applications
- Understanding of research procedures and legal documentation preparation

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office environment with exposure to computer screens and low levels of noise.
