A law firm seeks an associate attorney to join its Insurance Coverage & Regulation Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of civil litigation experience, with strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills. The role requires the ability to work directly with clients, develop legal strategies, and collaborate effectively with colleagues. Duties:

• Handle insurance coverage and regulation matters, including advising clients on coverage issues and regulatory compliance.
• Represent clients in civil litigation, including preparing pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.
• Work closely with clients to develop legal strategies and provide ongoing legal counsel.
• Participate in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations as needed.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to manage case progress and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong academic credentials and demonstrated legal research and writing abilities.
• Superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work directly with clients and develop strategic legal approaches.
• Licensed to practice law in New York State.
• Experience as a court or appellate clerk is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York, in good standing.
