The Public Companies Resource Attorney position at Cooley is a highly specialized role within the firm. Position Responsibilities: The Public Companies Resource Attorney will have a variety of responsibilities within the practice group, including: Staying current on all legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Public Companies practice area Developing client alerts and other publications on relevant topics Creating and maintaining practice resources to facilitate knowledge-sharing and client interaction Maintaining and updating forms and templates for the practice group Assisting with business development efforts, including providing information for RFP responses Coordinating with Professional Development and Information Services to enhance skills development and leverage technology within the practice group Skills & Experience: To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have: A minimum of 5 years of experience in representing Public Companies, with a strong focus on current and periodic reporting and corporate governance Mastery of the substantive area of practice Knowledge of industries regularly advised by Cooley Excellent written and verbal communication and drafting skills Confident and engaging presentation skills Strong intellectual ability, interpersonal skills, and technical skills Self-starter mentality and ability to work well in a team Organizational and time management skills with attention to detail Salary Information: The expected annual pay range for the Public Companies Resource Attorney position is $220,000 - $325,000. Final offer amount will depend on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset.
