We are a diverse civil litigation firm that represents public and private business organizations, as well as insurance companies, in a variety of legal matters. We are dedicated to changing the way defense firms do business and are looking for a motivated and skilled Attorney to help us achieve our mission. Position Summary: As an Attorney at Boyd & Jenerette, you will work closely with our litigation team to provide legal counsel to our clients. This includes conducting legal research, drafting documents and pleadings, communicating with clients and experts, and handling depositions, hearings, and trials. This is a full-time, exempt position with a flexible work schedule and the ability to work remotely. Responsibilities: - Prepare legal documents and correspondence, such as pleadings, briefs, and settlement agreements. - Handle depositions and attend trials. - Conduct legal research and provide counsel to clients. - Analyze conflicts and negotiate on behalf of clients. - Communicate with other attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case management. - Maintain client files and stay up-to-date on case information. - Other duties as assigned. Requirements & Competencies: - 2 years of civil litigation experience preferred. - Must be a member of the Florida Bar. - Judicial clerkship experience or strong research, writing, and legal analysis skills. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Strong time management and problem-solving abilities. - Attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Meet expectations for billing goals. Work Environment: This position requires the ability to sit and use a computer for long periods of time, as well as read and write in English. The ability to think strategically, communicate expectations, and establish priorities is also essential.
