Job Title: Legal Secretary – Trust & Estates, Tax
Department: Trust & Estates and Tax Practice Groups
Location: Los Angeles, CA

Salary Information:
- Expected annualized base salary range: $70,000 to $90,000
- Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law

Responsibilities:
- Support 3 - 4 busy Attorneys in the Firm’s Trusts and Estates and Tax practice groups
- Prepare documents in final format, including assisting with preparing a letter, chart or deed
- Conduct conflict checks for prospective matters, prepares client engagement agreements and conflict waivers
- Create and edit drafts of documents using the Microsoft Office Suite
- Answer incoming telephone calls in a timely and professional manner and communicate an accurate message on behalf of the caller
- Send/receive/manage e-mails and related attachments using Outlook
- Accurately enter attorney time on a timely basis
- Arrange meetings and schedule appointments; open, sort, and distribute mail
- Notarize documents
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree required
- Minimum of 2 years of legal secretarial experience
- Proficiency in trusts and estates and tax terminology and procedures preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Energetic self-starter who is enthusiastic about performing and learning varied support tasks
- Proficient in Windows and with Microsoft Office including MS Word and Outlook
- Accurate typing skills of 65+ wpm
- California notary (or willingness to become a California notary) required

This position is for the Firm’s Trusts and Estates and Tax practice groups and will involve supporting 3 - 4 busy Attorneys. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of legal secretarial experience and be proficient in trusts and estates and tax terminology and procedures.

As a Legal Secretary at our firm, you will receive competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 annually. The actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
