Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established, client-focused law firm in New York City is currently seeking a seasoned Litigation Attorney to join their dynamic team. With a strong focus on personal injury law, the firm handles a diverse range of cases, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall incidents, police misconduct, wage and hour claims, and breaches of contract. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of litigation experience and a passion for fighting on behalf of individuals who have been harmed due to negligence or misconduct.
Duties:
- Represent clients in personal injury and related matters, including but not limited to motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall incidents, police misconduct, and wage-and-hour claims.
- Handle a diverse caseload from initiation through to resolution, including trial preparation.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
- Prepare and present cases at trial, managing depositions, pre-trial motions, and court appearances.
- Build and maintain effective communication with clients, ensuring they are well informed throughout the case lifecycle.
- Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and expert witnesses to strengthen cases.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New York State Bar (federal court admission is a plus).
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with a focus on plaintiff-side personal injury cases.
- Extensive knowledge of personal injury law, including relevant statutes and court procedures.
- Proven experience in handling cases to a successful resolution.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Effective negotiation and settlement capabilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of cases.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Admission to the New York State Bar (Federal court admission is preferred).
