Overview:

Simplify Compliance is seeking a Senior Legal Editor to join our team in Chicago, IL. This role requires a and strong familiarity with HR concepts and employment law, specifically in areas related to discrimination, harassment, and union issues. The Senior Legal Editor will be responsible for creating and editing high-quality content for various products, including online and print materials, webinars, and online learning. The ideal candidate will have excellent research and writing skills, as well as the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and interact with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop expertise in assigned segments, including understanding customer needs and relevant regulations and best practices.
- Write and edit clear, informative, and engaging content for a variety of customer solutions, with a focus on answering employment law questions without providing legal advice.
- Upload content to digital platforms and ensure proper display and functionality.
- Meet strict deadlines and budget requirements for all assigned products.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to maintain content standards and ensure customer needs are met.
- Represent products and services in customer engagements and industry events.
- Propose new product ideas and oversee all content-related phases of the new product process.
- Maintain awareness of company guidelines and adhere to messaging, tone, style, and editorial processes.
- Create and maintain editorial calendars and manage deadlines for assigned digital products.
- Identify areas for new content development to enhance current customer solutions.

Qualifications:

- and 10+ years of experience working with employment law issues.
- Strong familiarity with HR concepts and excellent understanding of discrimination, harassment, and union issues.
- Ability to write clearly for an HR audience.
- Self-motivated and able to mentor team members.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
- Excellent time management and project management skills.
- Detail-oriented and accurate.
- Organized and able to thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Logical thinker with the ability to classify content and apply taxonomy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
