You will be a key member of our team, collaborating with other tax specialists and experts to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to our clients. This role offers the potential for growth and advancement within our firm, with the opportunity to become a Partner or Managing Director. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise multiple client services teams on engagements, including planning, execution, direction, and completion of tax projects in various industries - Provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients - Market, sell, design, and implement tax-planning strategies for clients - Manage engagement fundamentals, such as realization, utilization, leverage, accounts receivable, and expenses - Mentor and develop staff on tax projects, providing performance assessments and year-end reviews - Review complicated or complex tax returns prepared by staff and make recommendations for accuracy and tax savings opportunities - Review ASC 740 income tax provision engagements - Research and consult on various tax matters - Maintain strong relationships with clients and effectively work with client management and staff at all levels - Gain an understanding of client operations, processes, and objectives to effectively support engagements - Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis - Adhere to professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality - Work at a client site, in the office, or remotely as needed Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, with a Master's degree in taxation, LLM in Taxation, or JD preferred - 5-7 years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience - CPA or JD/active law license required - Experience in public accounting preferred - Strong knowledge of corporate income tax and ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes - Excellent technical skills in US GAAP, corporate income tax laws, and regulations - Working knowledge of statutory income tax compliance and consulting, including state and local income taxes, international taxation, and transfer pricing - Exceptional client service, communication, and interpersonal skills - Experience with OneSource Tax Provision preferred - Ability to travel as needed - Strong teamwork, analytical, and attention to detail skills About Us: At Grant Thornton, we believe in making business more personal and building trust into every result.
