A law firm in Holmdel, NJ, is seeking a Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Creditors' Rights Associate Attorney to directly support attorneys in the firm's growing Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors Rights practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on related matters with the support of the firm’s deep commercial litigation, fiduciary litigation, white-collar litigation, and insurance litigation practice groups.

Duties:

  • Provide legal support and assistance to attorneys in the Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors Rights practice.
  • Collaborate on a wide range of bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis and prepare legal documents.
  • Assist in drafting pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.
  • Engage in case management, including document review and organization.
  • Attend client meetings and assist with case strategy and preparation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Ideal candidates will have 3 to 4 years of relevant legal experience.
  • All candidates must possess very strong academic records.
  • Exceptional writing and analytical skills are a must.
  • A judicial clerkship experience is helpful and desirable.
  • Mandatory Bar membership in one or more of Delaware, New Jersey, or New York.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar membership in one or more of Delaware, New Jersey, or New York.

Skills:

 

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and pleadings.
