Syracuse office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a worker's compensation/social security disability attorney with experience. The candidate will be assisting in case intake. Will be assisting senior attorneys in preparing cases by requesting medical records, obtaining opinions from physicians, and appellate research. Conducting depositions of the claimant, physicians, medical experts, and other parties. Remaining current with developments in the law. Regularly corresponding with the insurance company and defense attorneys to resolve issues on claims. Drafting appeals, rebuttals, summations, and memoranda of law, as well as pre and post-hearing memoranda and administrative appeals and appeals to the Federal District Court. Appearing before the Workers' Compensation Board and Social Security Administration. Meeting with clients and guiding them through the process. Negotiating settlements on behalf of the claimant. Providing legal direction in all cases. Working with support staff to ensure cases are proceeding as necessary. Must be licensed to practice in New York or recent graduate awaiting admission to the New York Bar. Newly admitted attorneys are welcome to apply.
