This position involves working closely with the Partner Chair of the Pro Bono Committee and Chief Responsible Business & Pro Bono Practice Officer to advance the firm's pro bono initiatives and support the programs of our corporate clients. If you are a highly skilled and motivated individual with a Juris Doctorate degree and at least 10 years of legal practice, we encourage you to apply and join our team of dedicated professionals. Responsibilities and Duties: - Develop pro bono projects and match matters with appropriate staffing and good judgement. - Screen requests for pro bono assistance from organizations and individuals. - Match pro bono matters with lawyers and provide desired professional development opportunities. - Approve pro bono matters in our intake system and ensure accurate data collection. - Identify key impact litigation opportunities and supervise large-scale pro bono projects. - Apply an understanding of immigration law when advising on immigration cases. - Advise attorneys on risk management issues related to pro bono practice. - Maintain relationships with community organizations and support internal and external communications for pro bono. - Work with alumni relations to integrate alumni into the firm's pro bono program. - Lead pro bono initiatives to support the programs of our corporate clients. - Develop innovative solutions to increase pro bono participation among lawyers and corporate client partners. - Collaborate with international colleagues to identify cross-jurisdictional pro bono matters. - Plan and oversee events to recognize pro bono service. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university. - At least 10 years of legal practice, with litigation experience preferred. - Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Analytical and problem-solving skills. - Profound understanding of various legal areas, including immigration law. - Demonstrated ability to develop, coordinate, and supervise pro bono projects and initiatives. - Capacity to identify key impact litigation opportunities and develop innovative solutions. - Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders. - Effective communication skills for internal and external communications. - Proven track record of collaboration with team members and other departments. - Knowledge of risk management issues related to pro bono practice. - Experience in event planning and data management. - Ability to lead and inspire engagement among members.
