A law firm in New York City is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney with a strong background in employment-based cases. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in labor certifications, EB-1 petitions, nonimmigrant visa petitions, and J-1 waiver applications, coupled with exceptional writing skills, client service acumen, and proficient case management abilities.
Job Duties:
- Handle a diverse caseload primarily focused on employment-based immigration matters.
- Prepare and file various immigration petitions, including H-1B, L-1, O-1, and EB-1 petitions.
- Manage PERM labor certification process and oversee related recruitment efforts.
- Assist clients with J-1 waiver applications and other complex immigration issues.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal memoranda, and provide strategic immigration advice.
- Represent clients at USCIS interviews, immigration court proceedings, and appellate hearings.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with all relevant immigration laws and regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New York State Bar.
- Minimum of 3-10 years of experience practicing immigration law, with a focus on employment-based immigration preferred.
- Proven track record of success in handling complex immigration cases.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft persuasive legal documents.
- Strong client service orientation and ability to effectively communicate with diverse clients.
- Proficiency in case management and ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
Education and Certifications:
