# Law Firm – Associate (4 – 7 Years) – Capital Solutions & Private Credit (Special Situations)

Law Firm is currently seeking an associate with 4 – 7 years of experience in corporate finance transactions focused on special situations matters. Candidates with experience in special situations and distressed corporate transactions will be preferred.

## Duties/Responsibilities

Associates in this position will be expected to:

* Work with the Firm’s expanding group of partners and associates across all offices to represent private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, as well as credit funds and creditor groups on a variety of financing transactions
* Negotiate and draft loan documentation, analyze capital structures, and manage and drive deals
* Collaborate with attorneys in other practices, including restructuring, private equity, and asset management

## Required Skills/Abilities

Successful candidates will possess:

* 4-7 years of experience focused primarily on finance transactions involving secured and unsecured credit facilities, special situation lending, and debt restructuring
* Currently working as an associate at a law firm advising investment funds, investment banks and companies
*
* Admitted to practice in New York or eligible to obtain admission in the state promptly
* High degree of attention to detail
* Sincere interest in this area of special situations finance
* High degree of interpersonal skills to connect with our clients and thrive in a truly collaborative environment
