Organization: Crime Victims Legal Assistance Project (CVLAP)

Position: Part-Time Legal Assistant for Tribal Survivor Project

Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience, bachelor's degree preferred

Salary: Starting at , non-exempt

Location: Fully remote, primarily serving Northern Michigan

Department: CVLAP Tribal Survivor Project team

Responsibilities:
- Conduct client intakes and case investigations
- Communicate with clients throughout the representation process
- Provide casework support and assist with legal filings and preparation for court
- Ensure eligibility of clients for services under the grant
- Provide administrative support and track data for evaluation and reporting

Qualifications:
- Proficiency with major software and web services
- Commitment to serving low-income individuals and underserved populations
- Experience with issues impacting domestic violence survivors and/or Native American communities is a plus
- Valid driver's license and access to transportation

Benefits:
- Part-time (20 hours/week), non-exempt position
- Vacation and sick time, paid holidays
- Eligibility for MAP's 401K retirement plan after 6 months of employment
