With multiple offices located in Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Detroit, Miller Johnson is dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to our diverse range of clients. As an Education Attorney at Miller Johnson, you will have the opportunity to work with both public and private school clients. We are looking for candidates with at least two years of experience in this area, who possess a strong understanding of education law. This includes expertise in areas such as Student Rights and Discipline, Privacy Rights and Constitutional Issues, Discrimination/Harassment, Labor and Employment Issues, Teacher’s Tenure Act, Title IX, and School Policy. Knowledge or experience in student disability law (special education) is also desired.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and advice to public and/or private school clients
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of education law to assist clients with a variety of issues
- Handle cases related to Student Rights and Discipline, Privacy Rights and Constitutional Issues, Discrimination/Harassment, Labor and Employment Issues, Teacher’s Tenure Act, Title IX, and School Policy
- Stay updated on changes and developments in education law
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
- Maintain high standards of legal writing and research

Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in advising public and/or private school clients
- Extensive understanding of education law
- Experience or knowledge of student disability law (special education) desired
