A law firm seeks a collaborative and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its Employment and Labor Relations Practice in Detroit. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in employment law, demonstrating a strong understanding of employment-related litigation and compliance matters.

Duties:

  • Handle employment-related litigation, including responding to discrimination charges filed with the EEOC and local agencies.
  • Manage discovery processes and draft dispositive motions effectively.
  • Provide guidance on a wide range of employment issues, including the drafting of employee handbooks and other related documents.
  • Ensure clients remain compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop strategies for case management and client representation.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in employment law.
  • Strong background in handling employment-related litigation matters.
  • Experience with EEOC processes and local agency procedures is preferred.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
