Job Title: Political and Legislative/PAC Assistant
Organization: Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA)

ALPA, the largest airline pilot union in the world and the largest non-governmental aviation safety organization, is seeking a Political and Legislative/PAC Assistant to join our team in Tysons (McLean), Virginia. In this role, you will support the Government Affairs Department with Political Action Committee (PAC) administration and provide legislative support.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare PAC disbursement memos
- Maintain accurate PAC records for Federal Election Commission (FEC) compliance
- Manage ALPA-PAC dues check-off program
- Prepare materials for external ALPA-PAC reviews
- Assist with legislative research, workshops, seminars, and more
- Maintain email accounts for the Government Affairs Department
- Answer member inquiries related to ALPA-PAC
- Keep accurate files for external auditors

Minimum Requirements:

- Two years of college or high school diploma
- Three years of related experience, with five or more years preferred
- Customer/member service experience
- Knowledge of Capitol Hill, legislative process, and . political dynamics
- Experience in political fundraising, congressional office, political campaigns, or federal government relations
- Federal Election Commission (FEC) compliance experience is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Able to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including at the Association's Capitol Hill office

Physical Demands:

- Operate a computer, smartphone, or tablet
- Sit, stand, bend, and move around the office
- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
