A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Mid-level Leveraged Finance Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience counseling lenders, investors, borrowers, and issuers in various leveraged finance transactions. They should demonstrate strong client management skills, superior academic credentials, and prior experience in a large law firm environment.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel to lenders, investors, borrowers, and issuers in leveraged finance transactions.
• Handle asset-based lending, private placements, unitranche, first lien/second lien, and mezzanine financings.
• Manage both leveraged and investment-grade lending transactions.
• Conduct due diligence and legal research related to financial matters.
• Draft and review legal documents, including loan agreements, security documents, and financing statements.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure the successful execution of transactions.
• Maintain client relationships and deliver exceptional client service.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends in leveraged finance.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility to waive into the Illinois Bar.
• 3-5 years of experience in leveraged finance transactions.
• Previous experience working in a large law firm setting.
• Excellent client management and communication skills.
• Superior academic credentials.
