## Senior Tax Associate at Law Firm **Overview** Law Firm is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join its dynamic practice in the Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate will have experience counseling clients on an array of federal and/or state and local tax issues in transactional matters. **About Law Firm and the Corporate Team** The Corporate team at Law Firm consists of over 70 lawyers who focus on all areas of corporate law representing both public and private entities at all stages of formation and growth. Our clients are engaged in energy production and distribution, agribusiness, healthcare, computer technology, life sciences solutions, aerospace technology, timber and forest products, mining, retail and manufacturing. We develop a deep understanding of the strategic objectives of these businesses to enhance our ability to plan and execute transactions for our clients. Like all of the firm’s practice groups, the Corporate group at Law Firm greatly values diversity. The ideal candidate will have experience counseling clients on an array of federal and/or state and local tax issues in transactional matters. **Skills Needed to Be Effective in This Role** • Experience with, or interest in counseling clients on federal, state, and local tax issues; • Ability to manage multiple projects in collaboration with partners and senior associates; • Excellent written and oral communication skills; • Good judgment, responsiveness, and perseverance; • Strong intellectual curiosity; • Self-motivation; • A commitment to client service and team success; • JD from an accredited university; • Active membership in the Oregon State Bar or ability to waive in (preferred). **Stoel Rives: Part of Our Team** At Law Firm, we offer a unique lateral integration program and core competency model that are designed to provide a roadmap of the practical skills, abilities, and client service techniques our lawyers need to succeed and progress at the firm. This salary range is based on market location. In addition to base compensation, Law Firm has a total rewards program that includes an annual discretionary bonus and rich benefits offerings.
