This position is ideal for an individual with 8-10 years of environmental law experience in the areas of regulatory compliance, environmental litigation, and transactional matters. The responsibilities of this role include: • Negotiating access, reimbursement cost-sharing, or purchase and sale agreements with New Jersey’s Spill Act, ISRA, New York’s Navigation Law, CERCLA, RCRA, and related environmental statutes and regulations • Providing legal advice to clients on environmental issues • Drafting and reviewing legal documents related to environmental law • Representing clients in court proceedings • Researching and analyzing environmental laws • Keeping up to date on changes in the environmental law The ideal candidate for this position should have: • 8-10 years of environmental law experience • Stellar academics and superior writing and research skills • An ability to work independently and exude and inspire confidence • Flexibility as to location in New Jersey or New York • Joint NJ/NY bar admission (or the ability to obtain/waive-in) This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and respected law firm.
