Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation cases, focusing on general liability, employment law, and public entity defense.
  • Handle legal research, case preparation, and court appearances.
  • Write and file legal briefs, motions, and other documents.
  • Provide legal advice to clients and collaborate with colleagues to strategize case approaches.
  • Manage client relationships and maintain regular communication throughout the litigation process.
  • Participate in trials, including presenting cases in court when required.
  • Assist with the development of legal strategies and solutions.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in the New Jersey Bar (required).
  • Admission to the New York Bar (preferred).
  • Experience in civil litigation and general liability cases, with preference given to those with trial experience.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with experience drafting legal documents such as briefs and motions.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the New Jersey Bar (required).
  • Admission to the New York Bar (preferred).

Skills:

  • Expertise in civil litigation and general liability law.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience handling client relationships effectively.
