Job Overview: A distinguished law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join its IP Litigation team in New York. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong academic background and experience in intellectual property and patent litigation. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing complex patent disputes and contribute to high-profile cases, working alongside a team of leading professionals in the field.

Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in complex patent litigation matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  • Manage litigation timelines, discovery processes, and case preparation.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients on IP and patent law issues.
  • Participate in hearings, trials, and oral arguments.
  • Contribute to PTAB (Patent Trial and Appeal Board) disputes, if applicable.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and management.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare detailed memoranda on IP-related issues.
  • Support business development and client relations.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in IP or patent litigation.
  • Top-tier academic credentials and law school performance.
  • Admission to the State Bar or eligibility for admission.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.

Education:

  • . from an accredited law school (Graduation years 2019–2022 preferred).
  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar or eligibility to apply.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage complex legal issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Technical proficiency and the ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts.
  • Experience with PTAB disputes is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
