A law firm in New York City, NY is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in insurance coverage and defense work. The ideal candidate will have experience handling construction, premises, product liability, and general liability cases.

Duties:

• Handle insurance coverage and defense work for a variety of cases, including construction, premises, product liability, and general liability matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
• Manage case files, develop case strategies, and prepare for trials.
• Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Review and interpret insurance policies and coverage issues.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the cases.
• Provide legal advice and recommendations to clients regarding coverage and defense strategies.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 3-5 years of experience in insurance coverage and defense work.
• Experience with construction, premises, product liability, and general liability cases is required.
• Strong understanding of insurance policies and coverage issues.
• Ability to manage complex cases and work independently or as part of a team.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York Bar (required).
